    The university investments team is a core component of the Foundation’s efforts to support university-based research centers and other academic opportunities exploring how to solve society’s most complex problems. This team is made up of high-impact, critical thinkers passionate about our vision. We are looking for a leader who can work closely with the team’s director to translate business insights into strategic priorities that enable us to be even more effective. You will also supervise 1-2 members of the team – supporting their career development and matching their talents with responsibilities that position them to maximize their impact towards the team’s strategic objectives.

     

    We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven ability to support exceedingly effective teams and drive data-informed recommendations to improve the efforts of the team in a highly integrated capability.     Your Responsibilities Include

     

    • Develop data-driven recommendations to improve processes or align activities that support overall strategic direction and are aligned to organizational objectives
    • Drive deeply collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders to obtain, analyze, and apply business intelligence to support the organization engaging in the highest valued opportunities
    • Support the Director and the leadership team with annual planning and forecasting
    • Provide direct supervision, dedicated mentoring, and coaching to a dynamic group of 2+ with the opportunity for additional supervisory responsibility
    • Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools they need to be successful, and that their activities align with strategy as well as their individual strengths and abilities
    • Work closely with the Director to report on team activities and proactively communicate progress and challenges

     

     

     

    Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

     

    • 7+ years of strategic leadership experience
    • Experience applying business insights to improve decision making
    • Demonstrated success and interest in supervising a team, supporting their professional development, and forecasting for future growth
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to apply these skills in coalition building across internal teams
    • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and high sense of urgency
    • A passion for and understanding of the principles of classical liberalism
    • Bachelor’s degree
