The communications and marketing team is seeking an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial media relations professional to ensure those ideas are heard.


    This individual will play an integral role in supporting CKI’s mission of advancing individual and societal well-being through their involvement in developing communications strategy and external communication with key media outlets.



    Your Responsibilities Include


    • Develop and drive a strategic communications plan from conception to implementation
    • Research and develop relationships with key media outlets
    •  Lead a team to secure media opportunities for issue experts
    • Identify news hooks and pitch ideas to secure media placements
    • Coordinate logistics and prepare briefing documents for media interviews
    • Support the writing of press releases, op-eds, and speeches



    Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization


    • 5-8 years of experience in communications, media relations, or related field
    • Experience developing a media relations strategy, pitching content, and securing placements
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment to drive strategy implementation
    • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
    • Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication
    • Supervisory or experience leading a team 


    Standout Candidates May Also Bring


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field


    All candidates will be required to submit a writing sample. Examples include: a press release, op-ed, or speech.
